How did you first get into anime?

I’ve met a lot of guests who love anime.
Some of them notice that my keychain is of Hanji from Attack on Titan, and we end up talking about how great this anime is.

The other day, I even met a guest who knew “The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.”
I’ve seen all the episodes myself, of course, but I was so surprised that someone overseas was a fan that I just had to ask, “How did you find out about it?”.

I’ve watched many, many anime since my childhood. Since I have an older brother, I didn’t just watch shows like Sailor Moon, but also anime for boys, such as Slam Dunk, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, and so.
Anime in Japan has a rich history.
I think the anime culture we have today exists thanks to many creators, editors, and fans, especially Osamu Tezuka, the creator of Astro Boy.

I’m really happy that, as a guide, I can chat about anime with people from all over the world.
Just like The Beatles’ music or the art of Picasso and Miró, anime is a culture that brings people together beyond borders.

Now, I’m raising three daughters, aged 14, 12, and 7.
They love anime and manga, and as their mom, I enjoy it with them too!
This is what our bookshelf looks like—it’s overflowing with manga.

We actually have another similar bookshelf and more in the kids’ rooms, so our house is a bit like a mini “manga café.”

What anime are you really into right now?
