In Japan, when people hear “melon flavor,” most of them think “green!”
I didn’t know this until recently, but it seems that the green color of melon soda is actually a unique part of Japanese culture.
Just like in this photo, when ice cream is added on top of melon soda, we call it a “cream soda.”
You might have seen this drink in anime, so many people outside Japan are familiar with it as well!

My 6-year-old daughter loves it too. she always looks so happy when she drinks cream soda.
